My name is Andrew Brown, I am the owner of Apex Gym and Head Coach at Project Apex Coaching.

I have always struggled with my weight, being 6ft4 and lanky, it has always felt like an impossible task. My younger years were stained with lack of confidence and poor self esteem which manifested itself in rebelling, anger issues and lack of authority. I battled with clothes not fitting, wrists being so small that it was a joke, not being able to play sports or not wanting to.

In my teens I was always over 6ft, but weighed no more than 55kg. I have spent my entire life in the pursuit of bettering myself, albeit with many bumps along the way. But no journey is perfect, life is designed with ups and downs, without those moments it would not have led me to where I am today.

I setup Apex Gym in 2019, we are now 5 years old and I have been coaching for almost 2 years. Being part of the fitness community is very important to me, I am able to not just help people with their weight or physical appearance but also enjoy front row tickets to people changing their entire lives for the better. Breaking bad habits, making better decisions and improving their day to day life.

Thorough Initial screening to evaluate what the client is struggling with, what they are proficient at, their current regime and expertise and ultimately if we’re a good fit. Apply below to kickstart this process...

Then, we need to understand the client’s Health, Habits, Stresses, Likes, Dislikes, Nutrition and Training.

STEP 3:

This can only be fully realised once the client has provided an in-depth analysis of their current lifestyle through the data collection phase. Training frequency, volume, specifics as well as nutrition can only truly be personalised if we have a thorough set of data.

STEP 4:

Once completed, we ensure the client understands what is expected of them, how and why the plan has been constructed. A supporting guide is sent to assist the client with items that may not be clear on a plan such as water & amp; salt intake, cooking oils and supplements.

How long will it take to reach my goal?

Depending on your goal whether that is fat loss or muscle gain this could be drastically different as gaining muscle takes much longer than losing fat, providing of course your current body composition is within reason. Following our Project Apex Pathway we will lay out the most efficient route, wasting no time. Ultimately it comes down to you and how well you can adhere to our Pathway.

Will I be able to have any meals with my family and/or Partner?

Yes! We use a flexible dieting system where we give you options on certain meals so that you can have some choice and freedom with home life, however you will still need to weigh your food and eat the options on your plan. Remember, the plan only works if you do.

Can I play sports while on plan?

Of course, all of our plans are bespoke, they are tailored to your individual needs and lifestyle. In some cases, being more active is very beneficial and complimentary. As long as we are aware, we can work with it. But, be careful of contact sports and potential injuries that may affect your progression.

What Supplements do I need to take?

You’ll be provided a Supplements Guide PDF which is tailored specifically for your needs, we focus on key supplements with highly biodegradable ingredients from trusted suppliers so that you get full value from your investment.

Will I be eating the same foods every day?

The way we construct a nutrition plan is solely based on our client consultation, we gather the information to understand what your likes and dislikes are and then we build a tailored nutrition plan. We offer alternatives on some meals, where possible and you will have alterations for Training Days and Non Training Days.
